The essentials
This portfolio does not use advertising pixels, marketing cookies, or analytics trackers. It does not sell personal information. One necessary cookie supports essential website functions—the optional AI assistant, the “Leave a note” form, and abuse protection. Two things can involve personal data, and both are optional: chatting with the assistant, and leaving a note.
AI assistant
The assistant is optional and starts only after you choose to continue. Text you type into it is sent to OpenAI to generate a response and is handled under OpenAI’s API data controls. The assistant answers only from a fixed profile document; it does not search the web or read your other data.
Messages and assistant replies are also saved in this portfolio’s database so Wasi can review conversations and improve the assistant. They are available only through the password-protected administration area. Chats older than 30 days are automatically removed when the assistant next starts. The portfolio does not attach your IP address or browser fingerprint to new chat transcripts.
Please do not type passwords, payment details, health information, confidential company material, or contact details into the chat. If a message contains an email address or phone number, the assistant does not send it to OpenAI or store it; it simply points you to the note form described below.
Leaving a note (enquiry form)
When it appears. The note form never opens on its own. The assistant may offer it after it has answered you—when you ask about contacting Wasi, availability, cost, or working together; after a couple of substantive exchanges; when it cannot answer a relevant question; or, quietly, after a minute or so of real conversation. You can also open it yourself from the contact section, from a case-study page, or after declining the AI chat. Dismissing the invitation does not limit the website or the assistant in any way, and it is not offered again after you dismiss it.
What it asks for, and why. Only what is needed to understand and, if you want, answer your note:
- What you are interested in (required) and your message (required) — so Wasi knows what the conversation is about.
- Your name and a website address (both optional) — helpful context, never required.
- Whether you would like a reply (optional). Only if you tick this is an email address required, and it is used solely to reply to that note. If you leave it unticked, no contact details are asked for or stored.
- Your confirmation that you have read this page; the time of that confirmation is recorded with the note.
No phone number is requested. Please do not include passwords, payment details, or confidential material in the message.
Where it goes. The form is submitted directly to this website’s own database over an encrypted connection. Nothing you enter in the form is added to the AI conversation, sent to OpenAI, or shown in the chat transcript. If you left the note while chatting, the note keeps a reference to that conversation so the context is available to Wasi; when the conversation is deleted by the 30-day chat cleanup, the note itself is unaffected.
How long it is kept. Notes are kept for up to 365 days (about 12 months) from the day they are submitted, then deleted automatically. That window covers a normal professional follow-up, including hiring conversations that take a few months. Wasi may delete a note earlier once it has been dealt with.
Deleting a note. When you save a note you receive a short reference code. Email wasiullahqureshi@gmail.com with that reference (or, if you did not keep it, the approximate date and what the note was about) and it will be deleted; you can also ask for a copy or a correction. No account or verification beyond reasonable identification is required.
Abuse protection
Automated safeguards limit rapid, repeated, unsafe, spam-like, or unrelated messages and notes: a short pause between messages, small per-browser and site-wide limits, a hidden field that only automated scripts fill in, and duplicate detection. Repeated misuse can temporarily pause the assistant. These controls protect the website and its AI usage; they do not build a profile of you, and their private log records the type of event, not the content of messages or notes.
Standard server information
Like most websites, the hosting provider may process standard technical logs—such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp—to operate and secure the service. Those logs are controlled by the hosting provider and are not used here for advertising or visitor profiling.
External links and email
If you follow an external link or contact Wasi by email or GitHub, that provider handles the information you share under its own privacy terms. Messages are used only to respond to the professional conversation you started.
Your choices
You can decline the assistant, dismiss the note invitation, or leave a note without an email address, and continue using the rest of the portfolio. You may ask Wasi to delete a chat or a note, or to correct or delete personal information you sent directly to him, subject to legal or operational requirements.
